We regret that the following documentary makers and creatives are unable to attend Sheffield Doc/Fest, owing to Visa-related reasons, either because of being denied a visa, or owing to visa-related issues.

Each year Sheffield Doc/Fest invites approximately 300 guests selected from over 60 countries for the Film and Alternate Realities programmes, to share their work with the documentary community, meet their audiences, and to promote and give further context to their work, contributing to the impact of the Festival as a market and forum for business internationally, as well as to the social and cultural offering in the UK.

Of the eight filmmakers affected, the following have given consent to their names being listed:

-   Ibrahim Alhussein (Syrian) – Protagonist in Central Airport THF. Unable to join Q&A on 10 & 11 June.
-   Ifeatu Nnaobi (Nigerian) - Creator of Where Is Home? Unable to present in Meet the Maker on 9 June.
-   Siska (Lebanese) – Director of In the Ruins of Baalbeck Studios. Unable to join Q&A on 12 June.

Doc/Fest would like to thank the above filmmakers for the significant efforts to visit the UK. Not withstanding, we would like to encourage audiences to seek out and support their work over the course of the Festival.
